Well here it is February and I'm just now getting to this. Oops. I guess I'm not good at blogging.

Anyway, Rick and I got some great news in December and now that we are past the "scary" phase I can share with you guys...we're expecting baby #2 and our last!!! Miss Brynn is going to be a big sister and we couldn't be happier!!! When we told the Family at Christmas they were shocked and happy and many tears followed. We had Brynn tell them with her Big Sister shirt. It took them a minute but when one figured it out they all did. Talk about a chain reaction!!!

So here we are. I'm now 14 weeks along, Rick is still hard at work and Brynnan is still growing like a weed. Koley will be returning home in June and that will make me, well, the happiest Mom. My family will be together again. Now if we could only sell this dang house!!!

Thanksgiving

What a fun day we had. Brynn got to sport her vest and headband and my turkey came out GREAT! I was so happy about that one. My sis, Dana, was here so we had a blast eating and then laying around being fat and lazy. It snowed too! Of course when Brynn went down for her nap I slipped into my turkey coma. What bliss. Rick watched football while I dreamt of a clean kitchen and when I woke up...I ate again and then spent an hour cleaning. So many dishes and crumbs! I mean, it took 4 hours to make dinner and 10 minutes to eat it. What the heck is up with that? Oh well, I know I'll do it again next year and I'm OK with that! What other day do we get to eat and do nothing all day and not feel guilty?

So today is day 2 of posting and I have Brynn with me at work. If you have ever listened to me rant about my job then you know today is a hard day. NOTHING is getting done and since Miss Loubie Lou is teething, a lot of diaper changes are really the only job I have right now. I'm so lucky the Boss isn't in today. WHEW!


So nothing really new to report. I did take my turkey out of the freezer and popped it in the fridge to thaw out last night though. I'm getting excited for Thanksgiving. Brynnan made a vest and headband to wear and I even have her pumpkin from Halloween that will be our centerpiece! She loves to paint and create. Here are a few pics.

Here we go. Add the Aros Family as the newest set of bloggers! I'll do my best to keep up with this place and post pictures and updates on us all. Just promise me this, be patient with me. This is new and something that may take a bit of time to get use to.

Some of you, if not all, may wonder why the blog is called Just 3 more days. Well, it's a long story but the cliff notes version is what I'll share. When Rick and I were dating we had the whole talk about "if I die before you" one night. Don't ask me why, that I can't remember. I do remember saying that when we die we'd wait at the gates just 3 more days before we went in so we could have more time together. OK. If you didn't vomit in your mouth already from the sappiness of that feel free to take a moment to walk away and do so should you have the urge.

So, as far as us...Rick is hard at work like always. I swear the man can't sit still! He has cut down a few trees from the front and side yard as well as raked up the piles of leaves and debris. Me? Well, when Brynnan went down for her morning nap I took the monitor outside, donned work gloves and started stacking the wood he had cut earlier in the week. Hard work but I keep telling myself it's a great workout and my butt will look great come summer if I keep it up!
