Did you ever wonder

why at the end of my posts I put bugs & fishes? Well, it's not my love of those things. It's actually what I say to the Littles when I want a hug and/or a kiss.

It's our code. Our secret. Our...thang!

So since it's a term of endearment I also say it to you. The few who stop by to read or pass along on your way to the next blog on the list. We all need to feel love even from a stranger at least once a day. There's so much that little token can do to change someones attitude.

So in true Aleigh form...

Too many blessings

Over here on my side of the world, I have too many blessings to be thankful for. Not just today, but always. I pray that God knows this. I do my best to convey it when possible.

I hope today you enjoy yourself as well as your family and friends and the time you have with them. Should you find an empty place at your table this year from a loss, remember the things they did today that made you laugh. Then, be thankful for the time you had them. For you are a better person for it.

Happy Thanksgiving from mine to yours!

DISNEY BABY!!

We did it. Finally! We loaded up the kids and headed to CA. It was a 9 hour drive (that includes the stops for potty and food) and so well worth it! We stopped in San Diego for lunch and to see the ocean. A first for both Little's.

Then we drove the remaining 1.5 hour to our Hotel in Anaheim. We took 3 days to just enjoy  the parks and boy did we. We say fireworks, parades and all of our favorite Disney friends.

I love how his hat just naturally went sideways. He looks like Frank Sinatra in his younger days.

Little Miss about DIED when she met Ariel! She is her favorite Princess ever!

Before fireworks over Cinderella's Castle.

It's November and

I have to confess,  I love the Fall. It has such sweet smells, the chilly weather and the promise of family time with those you may not have seen in awhile.

Around here we did a few things to dress up the house. Not too much. We recycled our pumpkins from Halloween and the wreath and scarecrow hat from last year. The only "new" things really are my mercury glass owl which I LOVE but also this printable. So fitting since I come from the South.

To enjoy the weather we've played outside and dressed a bit more for warmer weather at night wearing our long sleeved PJ's, watched Christmas movies on ABC Family (I know) and I've also drank my weight in Russian Tea and now am counting down the days till Thanksgiving.

You know how some people say all the things they are thankful for every day in November? Well, I too am thankful for a lot of the things you see others post on Facebook or their blogs. You know, family, friends, coffee. But I have to be honest and say the thing I'm most thankful for is...Jesus. If he hadn't died on that cross for me, I'd never know any of the blessings I have today.

"I hit my knees. Now here I stand. There I was. Now here I am. Changed"

Thank you Lord, for loving me.

What are you most thankful for?

Not enough time

I have to come to realize I can't do it all. I try and I have high expectations of myself but man, time really slips by! The Littles and I made some stuff for the house for Halloween and then had a blast with festivals at Little Miss's school and even a party at her karate school. We decorated our car for Trunk-or-Treat and man did they get tons of candy! I've got a tremendous amount of pics so I'm just gonna overload ya.

ENJOY!

We were Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbell. Yes, I know Wendy wears a blue dress but you go looking for a solid blue dress. I couldn't find one ANYWHERE! At the party I took my hair down and added a pink bow. I had curls like her at least!

Our trunk was Neverland. I This was my first year doing this and now that I know how crazy some get, next year will be epic!
